The whole idea

We call it our 15.

Fifteen minutes where one kid doesn’t have to compete with your phone, your work, the dishes, or their siblings.

1% of your day. 100% of your attention.

  1. 01Pick one kid.
  2. 02Put the phone down.
  3. 03Let them lead.
  4. 04Give them 15.

Fifteen is the floor, not the ceiling. If it turns into forty-five, even better. Fifteen is just small enough to actually start.

Our shared goal
1,000,000
minutes, together

One million minutes of a kid having somebody’s whole attention.

Your 15 moves the number. Every one counts.

One family can’t get there.

All of us can.

And after that

A million is our first milestone. The one we’re really after is a billion minutes of kids getting somebody’s whole attention. We start with the first fifteen.

The first year

What our 15 can build.

One session is fifteen minutes. Hundreds of them become the way your family works. Here’s the kind of thing parents tend to notice, in their kid’s words.

1 week

“We have this thing we do together.”

“What I want to do matters.”

1 month

“I don’t always have to compete for your attention.”

“My ideas are worth hearing.”

3 months

“You actually know what’s going on with me.”

“I have a voice.”

6 months

“I can bring things to you.”

“I matter even when I’m not achieving something.”

1 year

“You’re one of the people I can go to.”

“You understand me.”

You get the other half of it. A kid who brings you things sooner, and a version of yourself you like better at the end of the day.

Not a promise, and not a scientific claim. One-on-one, child-led time is a long-standing idea in family therapy and parenting programs. Our only contribution is making it small, named, and daily.

What a 15 looks like

Once a day, with one kid.

Pick one kid
Tell them it’s their 15. Start the timer.
Put the phone down
This is the part that does the work.
Let them lead
Lego, hair, questions about sharks. You follow. No teaching, no correcting, no rushing.
Give them 15
If it runs long, let it. Add a photo or short video afterwards if you want — always optional.

The app will keep the time so you don’t have to.

Start it, put it down, look at your kid. It counts your minutes into the shared total and remembers what you did. We’re building it now — members get it before we start.

September 15th

We all start the same morning.

We start at once and the count begins at zero. It’s easier to keep something up when you know other parents are doing it tonight too.

It isn’t a 30-day challenge. It’s the day we begin.

We’ll email you the moment the app is ready.

We knew it was the answer. We still didn’t commit.

My wife and I did one-on-one time inconsistently for years. We knew it worked. We still didn’t do it most days. I’m not a parenting expert — I’m just a dad who finally committed and gave it a name.

Now my girls ask me if we can do our 15. That is why this exists.

Questions

What ages does this work for?
About two to seventeen. The only thing that changes is what they pick.
What if I miss a day?
Nothing breaks. There’s no streak to lose and nothing scolds you. Do your 15 tomorrow.
I have more than one kid.
One membership covers all of them. One kid per session is the point, so most parents rotate.
Does my partner need their own membership?
No. One membership covers both parents.
What if I don’t know what to do?
They decide, so usually you find out fast.
What does it cost?
$15 a month, once the app is ready. We’ll email you before it opens so you can decide then. Nothing happens while you’re on the list.
What happens after September?
It keeps going. September 15th is the day we all start, not a month-long challenge.

They won’t remember the busy day.

They’ll remember you sat down.
